I decided to start with Black Iron Nutrition January 1, 2023 due to being at my heaviest weight, and generally unhappy with how I looked. I was doing CrossFit 5 to 6 times a week, but not seeing any body changes in the way of fat loss or muscle growth. I knew I had to dial in my nutrition but I wasn’t sure where to start. That’s where Lauren came in. She started off by asking my short and long-term goals and we developed a plan. In less than a year, I lost 3 inches from my waist and stomach and my body composition changed. Lauren also helped me nutritionally through a CrossFit competition. I’ve learned so much, not only about nutrition and macros, but also about honing in on how I am feeling mentally and physically related to my nutrition. I feel confident that I have the tools necessary to manage my nutrition independently now.
