Will I get a meal plan?

Of course not! Here at Black Iron Nutrition, we believe that knowledge is power and we are about teaching you how to eat, not telling you what to eat. If we told you what to eat every day for months straight, what would you do after us? The entire point of B.I.N. is to empower you to the point of never needing another nutrition coach again. That being said, while you won’t receive a meal plan, you will receive an insane amount of tools that will teach you how to create your own meal plan successfully with the macros and skills we give you.


Do you work with all types of people?

Yes we do! We've worked with thousands of clients across every demographic. Whether you're an elite athlete, a busy parent, wanting to lose weight or just looking to improve your health markers, we have a coach that will fit your needs and help you accomplish your goals.


What if the coach i want to work with has a wait list?

You can still select a coach with a wait list from the application form. You will receive an email letting you know that you've been added to that coaches wait list, and you will be notified again when they have an opening. It's difficult for us to give a time frame on how long the wait will be as it's very dependent on when a coach has a cancellation.



There is only a wait if you have your heart set on working with a specific coach. Otherwise you can apply for coaching and we'll be sure to pair you with one of our coaches who fits your needs and relates to your goals best. If you have selected to be put on the wait list it could be anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months depending on the specific coach and when they receive a cancellation. 


do i have to workout to do this program?

No you do not. We're in the business of creating healthy dietary changes, and although a workout program can be an added benefit to leading a healthy lifestyle, it's not a requirement to working with us. 


What if i decide to cancel?

You can cancel at anytime. Simply send your coach a message 3 business days prior to your bill date and they can take care of it for you.


how are you different from other nutrition programs?

There are a lot of nutrition programs out there and it can be difficult to decide which one is the right fit for you. We pride ourselves on being educators. We have fully embraced the notion that each individual client needs to be educated and coached a very specific way, thus we supply the full package. Our coaching staff has an immense and diverse set of skills which you have constant access to. They contribute regularly to our resource library and they're active in our Facebook community. BIN is about building a trusting relationship with your coach, your food, and yourself. We insist on communication, honesty, and transparency from our clients in order to ensure they receive an uplifting experience. And to set the tone, we ask that you tell us everything about yourself upon starting. The relationship starts by putting it all on the table.

What is black iron nutrition autopilot?

Autopilot bridges that gap for the people short on money, time, or who simply just don’t need or want a coach’s weekly feedback. We’ve created the “in between” to help add accountability while removing guesswork for the people who are not working one-on-one with a coach for whatever reason. Instead of using a risky online algorithm, we take all your metrics into account not only at sign up, but week after week.

how is BIN autopilot different from BIN MACROS?

The autopilot track does not include any communication with or feedback from a coach. Each week one of the BIN coaches will review your check in and you will receive an updated set of macros (if warranted). The check in questions are shorter and only allow for a one character response. Based on how your week went you will rank each question on a scale of 1-5 or with a Y/N answer. You also do not have the option to choose your coach on this track.


This program is meant for people who don’t want to track macros. Whether you’re currently tracking and would like to wean off, you’re sensitive to tracking or overwhelmed by it, or you simply don’t want to track macros, wellness is likely the program for you. This program will help you increase awareness of what your body needs by focusing on hunger cues and cravings. You will utilize tools like mindfulness and positive self talk and receive guidance on how to make food choices and habits more efficient and simple.


This program is run by Emily Rodela, a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP). Emily uses a holistic approach for assessing nutritional deficiencies in the body and focuses on a whole foods diet paired with a well-balanced lifestyle while respecting a clients unique nutritional requirements and the body’s innate ability to heal. This program is for clients who want to focus on specific symptoms or health concerns that require additional attention. Emily looks closely at symptoms around digestion, blood sugar handling, fatty acid balance, and vitamin and mineral needs to create your unique diet and lifestyle plan. Emily works with clients who experience trouble with sustained energy, sleep, bloating/diarrhea/constipation, headaches/light-headedness, autoimmunity, food sensitivities, thyroid levels, PMS/amenorrhea and more.

how do I become a black iron nutrition coach?

To become a Black Iron Nutrition coach, you must first complete The Black Iron Nutrition Internship program. It’s a 6-10 week unpaid internship, ending in the potential for full time coaching employment. The program runs four times a year, always starting on the quarter.
