KIRSTIE SUBRY

she/her

Kirstie was born and raised in a small town in Northern California, Lodi, and currently still lives in a small town in Northern California, Acampo, with her husband, Gabe, and two babies, Luke and Audrey.

Kirstie grew up playing sports, primarily soccer, and found herself on a competitive travel team for many years. She has a competitive spirit and has found that athletics satisfy that drive the best for her. Throughout college, she attended University of the Pacific, she found a passion for running long distances. She completed one full marathon and several half marathons. Shortly before graduating she stumbled upon CrossFit and never looked back. Her competitive CrossFit journey began in 2013 where she competed at the CrossFit Regionals on a team. She went on to compete as an individual in 2014, 2015 and 2016. And then again on a team in 2017. The best part for her was that she was able to do this alongside her husband every year. 2018 was the year they welcomed their son, and life has definitely looked different since then, in the best way.

Kirstie and her husband own a CrossFit gym, CrossFit 209 Sport. They enjoy going on big adventurers together and love to travel the world and be outdoors.

Kirstie has always had a passion for food and the role nutrition plays in all the different stages of life. She is so excited to be a part of the Black Iron Nutrition team! She looks forward to helping people find a happy, healthy, and sustainable approach to nutrition that fits their lifestyle and their goals.
