Broiled Halibut with Mango Avocado Salsa

Broiled Halibut with Mango Avocado Salsa

Serves 2


For the halibut:

  • 2 (5 ounce) halibut filets

  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • Salt to taste

For the mango avocado salsa:

  • 1 mango, peeled, pitted and diced (200g)

  • 1 small avocado, peeled, pitted and diced (100g)

  • 1 tbsp lime juice

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Place the halibut filets on a foil lined baking sheet and sprinkle with salt

  2. Whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice and garlic and coat each filet

  3. Let the fish set for about 10 minutes

  4. Combine all of the ingredients for the mango avocado salsa in a bowl and set aside

  5. Set your broiler to high and cook the fish for 8-10 minutes

  6. Top each filet with the mango avocado salsa and serve with rice or cauliflower rice
