Kelly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but soon after moved to the suburbs of New Jersey where she still lives today. Kelly's love for sports started at a very young age. Being the youngest of four and wanting to fit in with her brothers, she has always been, what some might call, "too competitive". This attitude seemed to work out nicely for her as she later played Division 1 soccer at Mount St. Mary's University. Following her collegiate career, Kelly needed to fill that competitive void. She was introduced to Crossfit and was quickly hooked.  Kelly has been competing for over 3 years. She has qualified in the East Regional as an individual in 2017 and 2018, and made her Crossfit Games debut in 2016 with team Crossfit Parallax.

Kelly took an interest in nutrition as she progressed in the sport of fitness. She began working with Krissy Mae Cagney in 2016 and quickly became fascinated with how much food can aid in performance. While working out and being active was always an essential part of her life, nutrition was the one missing factor that kept her from being comfortable in her own skin. Not only has Kelly been interning with Black Iron Nutrition for multiple months under previous teammate Kelsey Kiel, she also understands the process, and all that comes with it, as she is a client of BIN herself.

While Kelly's passion for sports and training seems to be her main priority, it actually takes a back seat to her love for helping others. Kelly is an elementary school teacher and a L1 Crossfit Coach. One of Kelly's biggest motivations is seeing people achieve goals that they once believed were impossible.
