Jessica is originally from a suburb outside of Chicago and grew up playing competitive soccer and softball. She joined the Marine Corps when she was 17 years old and relocated to North Carolina. While in the military, she found her love for fitness and helping others. However, she also experienced and saw firsthand the consequences of poor training and nutrition, and so started researching these topics on her own after refusing to believe a person had to run themselves into the ground to be fit.
Jessica started CrossFit in 2008, and from there pursued many training styles; she ran marathons and competed in Olympic Weightlifting. Her passion for fitness led to her obtaining her CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2010 and USA Weightlifting Level 1 in 2013. That same year, she had her first daughter, Lillian. After leaving the Marine Corps in 2015, she had her second daughter Madalyn, and went back to school to finish her degree in kinesiology. While in school, she took a special interest in women’s health after dealing with her own health issues. That was the defining moment when she realized that while fitness is important, nutrition and lifestyle habits are often the missing piece to the puzzle.
Jessica now resides with her husband and two daughters in Northern Virginia. She is also a personal trainer and loves helping people achieve their goals through both fitness and nutrition!
